School of Nursing and Midwifery In 1975 Higher Institute for Midwifery was established by admitting 20 students for associate in midwifery. From its foundation until the beginning of Cultural Revolution and opening of universities, 104 students of 5 majors in associate level were graduated. After Cultural Revolution the universities opened again in May, 1980. After Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences was established, this institute was promoted to nursing and midwifery school in 1988 by admitting 80 students for B.S. There are 29 faculty staff including 4 associate professors, 15 assistant professors and 10 instructors in school of Nursing and Midwifery. Right now 995 students are studying in this school.
